Clay County Animal Rescue & ShelterTerrier / Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed (long coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small
Tipsy was relinquished to the shelter by her owner. She was living in an outdoor pen, because the owner said she was not well housetrained and didn't get along with her other small dog. Here she doesn't potty in her crate and gets along with all other dogs big or small. I don't see any reason to believe that with some time and crate training that she wouldn't housetrain just fine. She certainly needs to be an indoor, not an outdoor dog. She loves air conditioning and is affectionate and playful. She romps full throttle on the daily dog walk and never offers to run off. Tipsy liked to bark at the outdoor cats initially, but she has made great progress and lately has not been paying attention to them at all. Tipsy is vaccinated, tested for heartworms (negative), spayed as of this week, dewormed and on flea, tick and heartworm preventives. All she needs now is her forever home!
